I can write dialogue all day long but feel like I'm trying to wade through molasses when I want to write action or description. It's probably a result of my theater background. I can see the purpose it serves, and can understand why some does and doesn't work (am reading a debut right now with weak dialogue), but I've got to warm myself up through writing and re-writing until the dialogue comes across naturally.
