Catching the Rose

I published this book as part of my high school senior thesis, originally. I was surprised and gratified when so many people said (and continue to say!) they enjoyed the book, despite my young age. I am currently in the process of giving the book an entire overhaul, and have renamed it as The Rebel’s Hero. If you would like to win a FREE advance copy, subscribe to the newsletter!

Reviews

I couldn’t stop reading this book once I began, I stayed up till 3 am yesterday morning until I had read the last word.

When I was first introduced to Veronica’s character, I thought of her as spoiled, however as I began to become more acquainted with her, I felt a strong need for her to find her beloved Jack. Without Jack, she was destined to live an unhappy life with a man who would isolate her from her friends, and even the intriguing Brad Williams.

The story is set in the early days of the Civil War. Belinda creates a story full of suspense, humor, and romance. She is definitely the author to go with if you are looking for what she considers “quirky historical fiction.” This book has a few citations here and there, but you don’t even notice them as you read. I recommend this novel to anyone who wants to dive into the life of a young woman on the search for her childhood love.
